The Architectural Society, HKUSU was established in 1950, it has always stood up as a student body for students in the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Hong Kong. The Society is currently administered by 10 Executive Committee members, namely the Chairman, the Internal Vice-Chairman, the External Vice-Chairman, the General Secretary, the Financial Secretary, the External Secretary, the Publications Secretary, the Publicity Secretary, the Social & Welfare Secretary and the Sports Captain. Each functional secretary specifies in a particular role which is essential for the smooth operation of the society.

Every year, the society encourages its 700 members to participate in its many activities as we always have a belief that a balance should be made between academic studies and extra-curricular activities. Interactions between different curricula, including Architectural Studies, Surveying, Landscape Studies, Conservation and Urban Studies, highlight one of the main objectives of the society. This can be illustrated by our keen effort in organizing various social and cultural functions throughout the year.

Social and cultural activities have always been indispensable elements of tertiary education and as the representing body of students in the Faculty of Architecture, we will continue to review our activities in order to equip our members to face the challenges that may be encountered in the pursuit of a professional career.
